E. Shawn McDonald

Mr. McDonald has over 25 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, including onshore and offshore oil and gas developments, both domestically and internationally. During his career, he has held a variety of staff and management assignments in engineering, operations support, and major projects. He has extensive experience in project assurance and interface, risk, and change management processes for major oil and gas asset development projects.

During his 25 year career with Chevron, Shawn supported existing operations, production field facility expansions, and major project developments through various roles such as Facilities Engineer for production facilities in Texas and Oklahoma, Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer for production facilities in the offshore Gulf Of Mexico, Instrumentation and Control Engineer for an LNG Re-gasification facility project, Project Engineer for Topsides and Hull for various major deepwater asset developments, Assurance/Interface/Risk Manager for a major deepwater project, and Engineering and Procurement Delivery Manager for multiple Gas Turbine Generator modules and compressor packages for a major field expansion project in Kazakhstan. Shawn has extensive experience in EPC project development from the early appraisal phase through engineering design and execution.

Since becoming a consultant in 2017, Shawn has advised clients on a wide range of issues, including EPC project disputes and insurance claims. He has testified as an expert witness in depositions and international arbitrations on several occasions.
