Jason Compton has over 20 years of experience in the chemical and petrochemical sector, with extensive expertise in process engineering, operations, change management, and project execution. His experience includes process engineering design, project commissioning, project economics, technical service, turnarounds, process safety, operating discipline, and industrial safety.
Jason began his career as a Process Engineer with Rohm & Haas, supporting capital project design, construction, commissioning, and start-up. He later provided technical support for monomer manufacturing products and technologies. Following the acquisition by Dow Chemical, Jason moved into operations leadership, where he was responsible for aligning operating procedures, process safety systems, and maintenance work processes. In 2012, Jason joined LyondellBasell as a production engineer and progressed into manufacturing leadership roles, overseeing technical and operations teams. He led initiatives to improve process safety, operating discipline, turnaround execution, and overall operational performance.
Jason joined Baker & O’Brien in 2025 as a Consultant in the Houston office. He advises clients on issues related to standard of care, industry standards, industry best practices, and root cause analysis.
