Summary of Experience
Mr. Holtzclaw has over 30 years of experience in chemical, petrochemical, fertilizer, pulp/paper, oil/refinery, and related process industries. He has extensive experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction management projects. Over his career, Tom has held roles in project management, civil/structural engineering and detailed design, engineering operations management, sales, and business development. His experience includes both domestic and international projects (Iraq, Turkey, Peru, India, Philippines, and Trinidad). Tom has expertise in early project development and project management and has been involved on a wide variety of projects, including gas pipelines, gas compressor stations, commodity and specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, refineries, early production facilities, cogeneration, process controls, and civil and structural related projects across multi-industries. Tom's experience in engineering operations management includes responsibility for engineering resources ranging from 25 to 250 professionals and experience in sales and business development.
As a consultant, Mr. Holtzclaw has provided expert opinions encompassing engineering and construction-related delays and defects within petrochemical operations, refineries, LNG plants, early production facilities, power generation facilities, and pipelines. He has also provided expert testimony in association with an intellectual property dispute. In addition to providing testimony via depositions, Tom has provided testimony within mediation, arbitration, and trial court settings. Tom has also been engaged by insurance providers to provide expert opinions regarding facility and pipeline construction durations and costs. Tom is a Registered Professional Engineer in Louisiana and a member of the Chi Epsilon National Civil Engineering Honor Society, inducted in 1984.
