Summary of Experience
Aaron Imrie has over 30 years of global experience, working in and consulting for the petrochemical, petroleum refining, gas processing, fertilizers, renewable fuels, and engineering and construction industries. He advises clients on project management, economic, and technical matters.
During his career, Aaron has worked in process engineering design, research and development, and field services. He also has experience in refinery and petrochemical process operations. Aaron has commissioned several new and revamped process units worldwide, successfully executed a demonstration plant project for a new biomass-to-liquid fuel process and supported modular hydrogen generation systems. He completed over 30 international field assignments in more than 15 countries, with responsibilities including inspection of installed process piping and equipment, inspection of reactor internals and catalyst loading, developing punch lists and resolving construction deficiencies prior to mechanical completion, operations training, and performance testing.
Since joining Baker & O’Brien, Aaron has served as an Independent Technical Consultant performing technical due diligence, construction monitoring, and certification of acceptance in major construction projects. He has also prepared technical expert reports on matters related to equipment failures in fertilizer plants. These have included issues regarding the design, engineering, and construction of major industrial facilities, as well as various technical and economic issues, including engineering standard of care and analysis of design documents. Aaron is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
