Summary of Experience

Mr. Withers has over 30 years of experience in leading and delivering large and complex EPC projects for the energy industry, with a recent focus on renewable energy. His responsibilities have included setting up and managing multidiscipline teams for high-value energy projects (greenfield and brownfield) from the conceptual stage, through Financial Investment Decision (FID), and into the project delivery phase to project closing. He began his career with Brown & Root as a Graduate Engineer, where he provided engineering and construction support services for an offshore construction facility encompassing several projects.

Over his career, Richard has developed the depth and breadth of his expertise managing the execution of major EPC projects, including offshore platforms; subsea pipelines, cables, risers & flexibles; floating production and offloading systems (incl. FPSOs). In recent years, Richard’s responsibilities have included world-scale renewable wind energy projects in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. His total project life-cycle expertise gained in offshore oil and gas projects was directly applicable to these wind farm assignments.
