Baker & O’Brien was delighted to partner with Reed Smith, ConocoPhillips, and Norton Rose Fulbright at the CPR Institute’s Houston Advisory Board’s Fall 2026 Regional Chapter event at Norton Rose Fulbright’s Houston offices last week.

Luis opened the discussion, “From Wellhead to Plastic: Bag: Exploring the Oil & Gas Value Chain,” with an interactive presentation. The session provided an overview of the broader energy value chain, connecting the technical, commercial, and legal aspects of the industry, including the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.

Reed Smith’s Will Russell and Norton Rose Fulbright’s Denton Nichols went on to offer commentary on the legal and commercial considerations across the sector. Drawing on their experience advising clients, they explored the interplay between legal, commercial, and technical considerations, as well as the opportunities and challenges companies face at each stage.
